Welcome to Souster & Hicks

Souster and Hicks Souster & Hicks is a family business established in 1978 by Geoff & Laura Souster and now situated in their own premises in the beautiful village of Woburn, Bedfordshire, with elder son Scott joining the company in 1999 and younger son Wes more recently in 2003, both of whom are now learning the art of bespoke cutting and tailoring, and will foresee the future of the Souster name within the tailoring world.

Souster and HicksGeoff Souster has a career spanning over 40 years, hand cutting over 20,000 bespoke suits, he was elected as the youngest ever National President of the Federation of Merchant Tailors in 1988, and also works as a consultant helping in setting up and improving the patterns for semi-bespoke manufacturers such as Wensum & Dormeuil.

The tailor of choice for many well known celebrities, past and present, such as Bob Monkhouse, Eric Morecambe, Matthew Kelly, Lenny Henry, Eamon Holmes, Ian Wright & Michael Bublé , were also in 1988 the first ever bespoke tailors to feature on the BBC's "The Clothes Show", when making world champion boxer Barry Mcguigan's suits.

It was soon after this that we were to become one of the very first bespoke tailors to use a semi-bespoke computer cutting system, to produce a very competitively priced suit as well as the renowned fully bespoke garments.

Laura Souster, also a tailoress for over 40 years, concentrates on the ever growing ladies tailoring side, with the designing, measuring and fitting of clients here in Woburn, as well as personally making the ladies trousers and skirts.
