Your questions answered

Your questions answered

• What is the difference between Bespoke and Semi-Bespoke?

Bespoke suits are hand crafted using approximately 5000 individual stitches. The 'body' of the suit is built up using canvas which is hand sewn into the cloth to create the correct shape.

Bespoke suits are also hand cut on the premises and several fittings are usually given.
Made to measure suits are machine sewn and use a 'bonding' technique for the canvas application, and normally have no fittings.

See bespoke page for further details..
• Why do some cloths cost so much more than others?

The finest cloths are generally the more expensive due to the manufacturing techniques used to get the fabric so lightweight. While these are fantastic to wear and superb for occassional use, we do not recommend these for everyday office suits. We will advise you on the ideal cloth weight for the intended use of your suit.

See Fabrics page for further details..

• How long will my suit take to make?

Depending on the fabrics, cut and other factors, a semi-bespoke suit will usually take 5 to 6 weeks with a bespoke suit taking around 8 weeks to complete. Although these times can sometimes be reduced slightly if the order is urgent.

• What is the difference between Made to Measure, Semi-Bespoke & Personal Tailoring?

Put simply, nothing! These are just different ways of describing a tailored suit which is factory made without fittings.
